So, I realize I haven't updated in over a month now, and I apologize... but things around here have been crazy! As you may have inferred from the photo on the left and the blog title... I am officially married now!
My husband (hehe!) and I did a small little ceremony at the Florida botanical gardens, with just 10 of our friends & family gathered with us - we will do a big wedding with ALL our friends and family later in May. But because of the requirements of my visa (we are a Canadian-American couple), we needed to get married within 90 days of me entering the country on my visa. Since a few of my family members were down for Christmas, we thought it would be nice to get married while they were here - so we set the date to 01/01/13.
Everyone asks me how it feels to be married... it honestly doesn't feel much different. EXCEPT the one awesome fact... that we never have to be apart from each other again! We definitely made the distance part of the relationship work, but I am happy to never have to do that ever again!
I wish you both nothing but happiness in the coming years. Yeah there will be difficulties, and sometimes you won't see eye to eye, but as long as you both remember how much you love each other and remain on each other's side, your relationship and lives will blossom! DeleteCongrats Katie ! As Amanda said above, there will be the odd squabble but as long as you love and respect each other its all good :) Tell each other every day you love each other. 15 years for Erin and I. That's the key :)
